While some businesses return to the office this spring, a growing number of firms are providing remote possibilities – or deciding to forgo the office altogether and allow all of their workers to work from home full-time. An internet directory of cities that pay remote workers to relocate there, compiled a list of the top fully remote places to work.
To make this list, Expert Ratings at Glassdoor, Blind, LinkedIn, and other platforms were consulted. The geographic diversity of each firm’s employees as well as its remote work policies were taken into account while compiling the list. All of these businesses are run entirely remotely with no corporate offices.
“I believe that we will see more employees transition from in-person and hybrid jobs to remote in the near future,” MakeMyMove.com co-founder and president Evan Hock told CNBC Make It. “A lot of people were introduced to a new sense of liberty and flexibility with remote work during the epidemic, and they aren’t ready to give it up.”
The freedom to live where they choose instead of having to be within commuting distance of their employer is the most appealing advantage drawing job-seekers to remote work over in-person or hybrid working, according to Hock. “There are also financial savings that come with it, as well as more free time with friends and family,” he adds.
